German luxury fashion house, Hugo Boss (stylised as BOSS), has teamed up with women-led NFT project, Boss Beauties, to launch the BOSS x Boss Beauties Dream Like a BOSS mentorship program.

Dream Like a BOSS aims to mentor young women from marginalised and underrepresented communities.

Hugo Boss has also put up limited-edition T-shirts featuring a print of the NFT artwork exclusively for sale on its website. A portion of the revenue will go towards the Dream Like a BOSS program. An NFT featuring the artwork will be up for auction on Opensea until Mar 12 and part of the proceeds will go towards the Dream Like a BOSS program.

According to BOSS, the mentorship program is an opportunity for both brands “to provide young women from historically marginalised and underrepresented groups with invaluable skills and insights for their professional development.”

Mentorship talks and real-life business experiences by Hugo Boss executives will be offered as part of the program. All mentees will be funded by proceeds from the BOSS x Boss Beauties NFT auction.

“Establishing the Dream Like a BOSS program will allow us to give back to our communities, to provide a space for creativity and growth, and to amplify voices that echo our brand values in a supportive and inclusive way,” said Rashmi Verma, head of global diversity and Inclusion at Hugo Boss. “Joining forces with Boss Beauties is an important step in creating equal opportunities for all women, and this is just the beginning of many great things to come.”

This is not BOSS’ first foray into NFTs. In Sep 2021, the fashion house collaborated with American sportswear brand Russel Athletic for an NFT collection. BOSS has also recently filed metaverse trademark applications for virtual goods.

Boss Beauties have been securing multiple high-profile partnerships with big brands leading up to the unveiling of their Boss Beauty Role Models NFT collection at its inaugural International Women’s Day event NEBULA in Midtown Manhattan today. The collection was previously scheduled to be exhibited at the UN.

Their latest partnerships include American department store company Neiman Marcus, and Barbie. Boss Beauties Role Models will be displayed by the windows of 14 Neiman Marcus stores across the US, while a Barbie NFT will be part of the Boss Beauties Role Model collection.

The Barbie NFT will be auctioned by Boss Beauties between Mar 9-12 via OpenSea, with proceeds benefiting the Barbie Dream Gap Project, a multi-year global initiative created to raise awareness around limiting factors that prevent girls from reaching their full potential.
