The world’s largest crypto exchange platform, Binance is sponsoring Bahrain’s first-ever NFT technology exhibition. The company is one of the three gold sponsors, which is a tier below the top-level Platinum sponsors of the event.

The exhibition is backed by Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of Bahrain National Art Council in conjunction with Bahrain Formula One races. The event will take place from March 16-18 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

It will introduce and demonstrate how the NFT technology works, including various applications and how it can be used to promote art and culture, among other use cases. The event is free to attend by registering at www.nftmenaexhibit.com.

Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Athena Yu, EVP of Binance NFT said the platform was pleased to be part of Bahrain’s first-ever NFT technology exhibition event.

“The digital currency revolution is not limited to the world of cryptocurrency and trading platforms, but also to the ar world,” she said.

On the other hand, the Chairman of Dar Al Fan Gallery, Mr Abdulrahman Almokla said the exhibition will serve as a great introduction of emerging new technologies to artists from Bahrain and the Wider Middle-eastern region. “We believe that the exhibition is an ideal platform to exchange ideas and learn from each other,” he said.

Almokla also commended Binance NFT for being one of the three gold sponsors of the event, NFT MENA Exhibit 2022, before expressing gratitude to all the sponsors involved.

“Such support from esteemed companies of unparalleled calibre validates our cause, elevates our brand and consolidates the culture of technology and innovation, not only locally, but also internationally,” said Almokla, adding that the event “widens our scope and our reach to the world.”

He said that the NFT MENA Exhibit is a good platform for gallerists, artists, corporations and entrepreneurs, also adding that investors get a first-hand insight into the world of NFTs, including trading artworks, which in turn fosters growth in art, culture and economy.

The middle east has been one of the leading players in the NFT art space. Last month, UAE’s House of Wisdom launched the first-ever NFT art exhibition in the metaverse.
