Blocklords has released the “Slay the Bear” cinematic trailer for its upcoming blockchain game. The real-time-strategy game has already premiered on the Blocklords YouTube channel and is the second of three planned cinematic releases and signals ahead of season’1 gameplay.
In the new trailer, the grand strategy MMO game showcases a huntress in search of a rare albino moose who faces a change in fortune after encountering a bear.
This trailer builds on the first trailer “Protect the House”, setting the stage for the season 1 battle pass.
The game is directed by BAFTA winner Jon Yeo and co-produced by MetaKing Studios and Axis Studios.
Commenting on the reveal, David Johansson, founder of MetaKing Studios explained his company’s commitment to crafting strong narratives for players.
“We have always envisioned a game that’s driven by its players, with immersive mechanics that propel us into a new era of player-centric economy and narrative. We’ve eagerly anticipated sharing ‘Slay The Bear’ and I can’t wait for players to see their characters up on the big screens — this trailer is just a small glimpse of what is to come. Blocklords isn’t just our story, it’s the players’ stories too,” Johansson said in a statement.
Blocklords is created using photorealistic gaming technology and state-of-the-art graphics from Unity. The game also boasts backing from leading gaming and investment companies including Square Enix, Krafton, and Fun Plus.
