Bitcoin gaming infrastructure provider, ZEBEDEE, today announced an expanded integration of MoonPay’s services, allowing gamers in over 100 countries to easily top up their Bitcoin balances with a debit or credit card.
ZEBEDEE and MoonPay entered into a partnership earlier this year to allow in-app Bitcoin top-ups with credit/debit cards for U.S. users. With the expanded integration, users in more than 100 countries can enjoy the same service, thereby eliminating the need for users outside of the U.S. to leave the app and connect with an exchange to top up their balances for Bitcoin games.
“We’re very excited about bringing MoonPay’s simple credit card top-up functionality to our global user base,” said Ben Cousens, Chief Strategy Officer at ZEBEDEE. “Adding funds to your account with minimum effort is key to bringing the full potential of ZEBEDEE to gamers, especially since these users usually don’t want to deal with exchanges. They just want an easy and frictionless experience that enriches what they’re getting from their time playing games.”
ZEBEDEE’s platform allows game developers can integrate Bitcoin rewards into their games, allowing players to earn Bitcoin while playing. However, users outside the U.S. did not have an easy way to top up their balance with a credit card, which meant that they had to either earn enough in games to shop with their ZEBEDEE balance or deposit Bitcoin from an external source, such as an exchange.
With the expanded integration, gamers can now top up their Bitcoin balance in a few taps. This comes as ZEBEDEE recently announced an integration with Bitrefill, to allow gamers to purchase gift cards without leaving the ZEBEDEE app. This means gamers can now get a fully circular economy experience as they earn Bitcoin in games, top up Bitcoin balances with their credit card, and shop gift cards without leaving the app.
