  • The partnership is part of Oasys network’s roadmap that focuses on three pillars interoperability, ecosystem and killer content.

Oasys Network has announced a partnership with inter-blockchain communication (IBC) protocol Datachain and cross-chain bridging solution TOKI to enhance blockchain gaming interoperability and user experience on its network.

The partnership is part of Oasys Network’s “Dragon Update” which focuses on three pillars including interoperability, ecosystem and killer content. The collaboration is the latest in a series of top-tier partnerships that Oasys has announced in the past year as it expands its ecosystem.

The gaming-focused blockchain will use Datachain’s IBC technology to enhance the interoperability of Web3 games on Oasys. On the other hand, TOKI’s IBC-powered bridging protocol will help improve the user experience in games.

Commenting on the announcement, Daiki Moriyama, Director of Oasys said the future of blockchain gaming hinges on providing unique experiences that are only possible on the blockchain.

“One of the key elements to achieving this will be the interoperability of games – for example: giving players the ability to make single-click, cross-chain transactions across multiple networks. By collaborating with Datachain and TOKI and integrating IBC, the go-to standard for web3 interoperability, we will deliver for gamers globally,” said Moriyama.

According to the announcement, Oasys integration with inter-blockchain messaging protocol will allow the company to facilitate cross-chain NFT settlements within the Oasys network, thus reducing friction for gamers and creating a seamless gaming experience.

Oasys counts some of the biggest mainstream gaming and technology companies among its partners, including SEGA, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, Ubisoft and SoftBank all of which have joined as validators in the network.

Oasys sees this partnership as a possible gateway for stablecoins on various blockchains issued via Progmat Coin, the native token of Progmat. Progmat is a digital asset infrastructure provider that already has ongoing partnerships with Oasys Network’s new partners, Datachain and TOKI.
