Quick take:

  • The integration combines Google Cloud’s leading solutions in data and analytics with Aptos’ Web3 game tools such as development SDKs and API gateways.
  • The partnership will enable developers to build, monetize, distribute, and analyze their Web3 game stacks in the cloud.
  • The collaboration also accelerates the onboarding of users to the Aptos gaming ecosystem by utilising Web2-friendly sign-ons through email or social media profiles.

Google Cloud is extending its relationship with Aptos Labs to accelerate support for blockchain games. The cloud service provider is integrating Aptos Gamestack, Aptos Labs’ gaming tech stack that includes development SDKs, API gateways and access to tech support to help customers deliver engaging Web3 experiences that attract gamers and games studios on a global scale.

According to the announcement, the integration of Aptos Gamestack enables developers to build, monetize, distribute, and analyze their Web3 game stacks in the cloud. On the other hand, Aptos will accelerate the onboarding of users to its platform by utilising Web2-friendly sign-ons through email or social media profiles.

Commenting on the integration, Jack Buser, Director for Games and Strategic Industries at Google said in a statement: “Games of any kind can now easily harness the power of Web3 technology with Aptos GameStack. Our partnership with Aptos Labs elevates the player benefits of Web3 technology into the mainstream of the games industry.”

The collaboration enables developers to leverage Google Cloud’s innovative solutions in data and analytics, and AI and machine learning together with the suite of Web3 game tools and features provided by Aptos, bringing comprehensive Web3 solutions to Google Cloud customers.

The Aptos Gamestack gives users access to access to Unity APIs for wallets, transactions, NFT collections, and tokens, which allows developers to deploy seamless payment processes for better in-game user engagement.

In November last year, Aptos teamed up with Ready Games, opening doors for more than 15 million gamers to join its community.
