Aptos Labs has announced a partnership with Ready Games (Readygg) to onboard 15 million Web2 games to Web3. The two companies will collaborate to bring some of the most popular video games to the Aptos ecosystem.

Aptos’ layer-1 blockchain offers a fast and highly scalable infrastructure to support massive projects like video games. On the other hand, Readygg has established itself as one of the leading platforms for Web2 games looking to add web3 elements to their AAA titles.

The platform has already onboarded over 20 major web2 publishers, representing a library of 2,000 games played by over 200m monthly active users.

This partnership will see four of these titles move to the Aptos ecosystem, with more than 15 million gamers set for migration.

Titles will include Runestone Keeper, a roguelike dungeon crawler game (PC/Android/iOS), Rescue Robots Sniper Survival (Android), a first-person action game, Minijuegos, a hypercasual platform, and ToroFun, a browser-based social gaming portal will debut on Aptos on December 6 and whitelisting of players is already underway beginning November 20.

Aptos and Readygg plan to add at least a dozen more games following the successful launch of the inaugural four games. All the games will now feature Web3 elements, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs), while Minijuegos and ToroFun will also feature an NFT-based loyalty system.

The two companies also plan to back READYgg and Aptos ecosystem publishers with grants through the READYgg $RDYX token.

Commenting on the announcement, David S. Bennahum, CEO and co-founder of READYgg expressed his excitement at the partnership with Aptos Labs. “Bridging web2 games to web3 has always been our goal, which is why we’ve built a range of tools traditional publishers can use to seamlessly reach a web3 audience and bring their typical users into the world of on-chain gaming.”

On the other hand, Mo Shaikh, co-founder & CEO of Aptos Labs commented: “This partnership with READYgg will accelerate the delivery of studio-quality web3 games, user experiences, and compelling ownable assets.”

This announcement comes hot on the heels of Aptos Foundation’s partnership with Alibaba Cloud to accelerate Web3 talent and accessibility in the Asia-Pacific region, becoming Alibaba Cloud’s leading blockchain sponsor for all Web3-related projects enrolled in its Singapore Innovation Accelerator program.
