The hotly anticipated NFT project BOOK GAMES by VeeFriends is going live today after revealing its gameplay and rules on Sunday, Jan 9. BOOK GAMES is played on Immutable X, a layer 2 application built on top of Ethereum.
After announcing a collaboration with Mattel Creations in December to launch a UNO deck, BOOK GAMES is the latest project by VeeFriends.
Accessible only to buyers of Gary Vaynerchuk’s latest book, Twelve and a Half, BOOK GAMES features 125,000 tokens that are burnable for other assets. In return for buying 12 copies of the book, players will get one BOOK GAMES NFT.
To amass as many tokens as possible, some VeeFriends fans have each bought hundreds of copies of the book. Players can also buy, hold or trade tokens on the secondary market through the Token Trove Marketplace.

The tokens also serve as a ‘Friends Pass’ that gives players a chance at a 12-and-a-half day minting advantage to VeeFriends Series 2 ahead of its public mint this spring. While pre-minting of VeeFriends Series 2 is not guaranteed, burning BOOK GAMES tokens is the only way at having a chance to do so.
BOOK GAMES tokens consist of 16 unique artworks hand-drawn by Vaynerchuk including 13 core characters and three special characters, with five rarity traits, 15 randomly generated frames and 1200 possible token types. BOOK GAMES NFTs
Those who have bought Twelve and a Half from Barnes & Noble will have the added benefit of getting more rare Book Tokens, due to the higher purchase price at the bookstore. According to BOOK GAMES’ benefit breakdown, Barnes & Noble customers will have a 50.7% higher chance of minting a special token than others.
The BOOK GAMES project also includes a native exchange, which allows users to exchange BOOK GAMES tokens for NFTs, sports cards, VeeCon 2022 tickets, and a special prize bundle. The bundle includes a “VeeFriends Series 1 G.O.O. (Gary Originally Owned) Core ‘Just Art’ VeeFriend and a PSA-authenticated original drawing of one of the Book Games token characters.”

BOOK GAMES tokens will also give players a shot at grabbing NFTs of some of the biggest projects including CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, World of Women, Wrapped Strikers, and CurioCards, which will be listed on the BOOK GAMES exchange.
