GAM3S.GG a community gaming super app, on a mission to onboard 100 million gamers onto Web3 has announced a $2 million funding round backed by several venture firms. Merit Circle, WWVentures, Cogitent Ventures, P2 Ventures, Cypher Capital, Acheron, Basics Capital, OIG Capital, BreederDAO, and Hercules Ventures joined the round.
The fundraising also attracted participation from multiple angel investors including Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal, YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon, Sky Mavis & Ronin co-founder Jiho Zirlin, and LiquidX co-founder Giulio Xiloyannis, among others.
This announcement comes just weeks before GAM3S’ launch of its native token $G3, scheduled to be issued to a global audience of Web3 gamers in early April through a public sale. The company also plans to airdrop the token to reward the early adopters of the project.
Holders of the $G3 token will be able to unlock exclusive platform features, game rewards, and the opportunity to participate in upcoming token launches for games.
According to GAM3S, its gaming super app has already exceeded 300,000 registered gamers as it looks to continue eliminating onboarding friction through simplified user experience, providing early access opportunities, and a rich resource of guides and unbiased reviews.
The platform already boasts 350 games, with more than 80 playable on the browser and has hosted the blockchain industry’s biggest annual awards show since December 2022.
The platform also supports a quest-driven interactive experience featuring 78 quotes launched in partnership with some of the leading blockchain gaming projects including Shrapnel, Big Time, Axie Infinity, MetalCore and Illuvium. The quest system has already seen over one million missions completed, engaging more than 75,000 unique participants.
