Blockchain gaming company, Gala Games, announced today that it is publishing its titles on Epic Games Store with the debut of Grit, a battle royale set in the Wild West.
With more than 194 million users on Epic Games Store, Gala Games will be exposing its Web3 games to millions of gamers in hopes of bringing its games to the masses.
Grit is a core battle royale game built on the Unreal Engine with realistic physics and unique twists. Players need to saddle up, ride and fight through town, building the best poker hand from found weapons to make a killing.
Every game of Grit is different, and will put players’ skills and strategies against other players to the test in epic showdowns and shootouts on horseback and steam engines. Gamers will face off against a gang of gunslingers with more than 400 old-school gun variations and play modes including solo, duo and squad.
“Epic is a pioneer and visionary in the video game industry. Gala Games’ titles being available on the Epic Game Store brings legitimacy to this new genre of gaming,” said John Osvald, President of Games at Gala Games. “Easy access to Web3 games is a turning point for those players who have not yet seen how digital ownership can enrich the gaming experience.”
To celebrate Galaverse starting today until Jun 9 in Malta, Gala Games will be offering a special sale of “The Gunslinger Box”, which will unlock one of 10,000 GRIT avatars. Each character, which the owner can use as an avatar in the game, possesses its own specific perks and generative traits that will give each character a unique look.
Owners will be able to take their preferred loadout of specific weapons’ skins into the game, giving them an advantage over their counterparts. The sale starts today for Galaverse attendees and opens up gradually across the week.
Node Owners will have access on Jun 7 and Gala Gold on Jun 8, while the public sale of The Gunslinger Box” will take place on Jun 9. Each group will have access to the sale for a duration of 12 hours.
