  • The two companies are launching an allowlist campaign for the collection mint set to happen this May.

Leading NFTs and blockchain gaming investment company Animoca Brands have teamed up with OliveX in a campaign to launch the Operation Ape: Exclusive Access Pass NFT for the move-to-earn (M2E) game Dustland Runner.

The companies are launching an Allowlitst that will give users an opportunity to participate in the NFT mint set to take place this May.

Dustland Runner players can participate in missions to earn DOSE, the OliveX Fitness Metaverse utility token. Holders of the Access Pass NFT gain exclusive access to Operation Ape, which offers more rewards.

Dustland Runner is a proof-of-workout audio adventure for runners based on a post-apocalyptic game setting. The game allows users to earn virtual rewards including NFTs and DOSE tokens based on real-world progress.

Operation Ape gives players an opportunity to protect a colony of apes from wasteland pirates by taking on missions.

In this partnership, Animoca Brands has been allocated “30 allowlist spots for each of its selected projects: The Sandbox, Benji Bananas, Crazy Defense Heroes, REVV Racing, Torque Squad, GAMEE, and MadWorld,” the company wrote in a statement on Tuesday.

More details about winning Access Pass spots will be communicated through Dustland Runner’s social media channels in the coming weeks. The company waldo revealed that Dustland’s official website will publish more details about the NFT mint date and pricing within the next two weeks.

Move-to-earn games have become a trend recently due to the crucial role they play in real-world situations. Web3 companies have established a way for people to engage in enjoyable fitness projects.

But more importantly, these projects have become a gateway to onboarding more people to the play-to-earn gaming market.

The M2E gaming segment of the blockchain industry also helps brands to collaborate with leading athletes and Web3 startups in NFT projects.

The most recent example outside of Animoca Brands and OliveX is STEPN’s partnership with Asics, which temporarily boosted the GMT token, before plunging with the rest of the crypto market.
