  • 3Founders is also targeting non-fungible tokens projects according to Cohort co-founder and CEO Séraphie de Tracy.

EU Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup eFounders has launched a new division called 3Founders to focus on Web3. The company said the new unit will invest in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and blockchain projects.

Thibaud Elziere and Quentin Nickmans co-founded eFounder is 2011. The company has since grown to invest in 33 startups, including a crypto wallet, now called Multis.

eFounders launched Logic Founders, a fintech studio last year, which is currently headed by Camille Tyan. Among the 33 portfolio companies that the SaaS startup has invested in are Aircall, a cloud-based call centre startup; Spendesk, a spending solution for companies; and Front, an email management solution that helps organise inboxes.

Overall, all the portfolio companies generate approximately $170 million in annual recurring revenue and have a total workforce of 2,000 employees according to TechCrunch.

The company’s plan is to get 3Founders its own employees as it begins to assess potential investment opportunities in the Web3 space to begin building its portfolio of companies.

As of now, eFounders co-founder Thibaud Elziere will assume the position of interim head of the studio while Salesmachine co-founder Florent Quinti becomes the first 3founders employee.

The new division has already identified its first portfolio company, dubbed, Cohort. It is co-founded by CEO Séraphie de Tracy and CTO Nathan Barraillé. Cohort plans to create an ecosystem where brands and organisations can easily offer NFTs to their most loyal community members.

This will allow brands to offer their customers exclusive experiences depending on the type of NFTs they own.

Commenting on the new product, 3Founders’ first employee, Quinti said the company is working on several web3 ideas, as it aims to launch more startups rapidly.

“We’re looking at reinventing the CRM in a native web3 world and we are also exploring developer tools to allow web2 companies to integrate web3 experiences in their products without compromising on the user experience,” he said, adding that the team will be monitoring 3Founders’ development to determine if it can match eFounders’ exquisite track record.
