TON Foundation has announced a partnership with Tencent. The decentralised internet company wants to accelerate its ecosystem growth by allowing developers to launch decentralised apps on Telegram.
This announcement comes on the heels of TON Foundation’s partnership with Telegram which saw the two companies launch the TON Space self-custody wallet. TON is also collaborating with Web3 data infrastructure company Chainbase as it looks to accelerate the mass adoption of users across the Asia Pacific region. Chainbase’s enterprise node deployment service will deliver low-latency and highly reliable blockchain connectivity for Web3 projects and developers on TON.

Tencent Cloud has successfully been supporting TON validators and now wants to expand its services further to help meet TON’s high compute intensity and network bandwidth needs, the company said in an announcement.
The two companies will collaborate to support Web3 apps built on Telegram, allowing developers to leverage Tencent Cloud’s gaming solutions to build blockchain games on Telegram.
This partnership also plans to offer apps built on TON access to a dedicated amount of cloud credits and product discounts through Tencent’s support program.
Commenting on the announcement, Justin Hyun, Head of Growth at TON Foundation said: “Our collaboration with Tencent Cloud is the latest milestone in our journey to accelerate the global adoption of blockchain technology. By joining forces, we can leverage our combined expertise to drive the development of technological solutions built on-chain.”
