Quick take:

  • The companies will collaborate to create a new metaverse gaming experience and expand their communities.
  • Mon Protocol will also airdrop TPZ tokens to the MON token as part of the integration.
  • The collaboration stands to boost the Pixelmon user base to more than a million users.

Mon Protocol has teamed up with the quest-based roleplaying battler game PivelVerse to build a new virtual gaming experience. The partnership is part of Mon Protocol’s strategy of adding diverse content to its portfolio.

The integration will also see TPZ tokens airdropped to holders of the MON token, which Mon Protocol announced last December. The two companies are combining their strengths as part of their mission to enhance the gaming experiences in their communities.

As part of the strategic partnership, Mon Protocol’s offering will be integrated into the digital real estate via the PixelVerse platform. This collaboration also stands to boost the PixelMon user base to more than 1 million, according to press material shared with NFTgators.

Commenting on the announcement on Tuesday, Kirill Volgin, co-founder and CEO of PixelVerse told NFTgators: “Pixelverse and Mon Protocol have a strategic partnership that emphasizes portfolio diversification for Mon Protocol. Similar to Pixels.xyz, Pixelverse.xyz is driven by the community and launched naturally, as opposed to using platforms like Binance Launchpad. This approach matches Mon Protocol’s overall strategy to build a diverse and engaged community that makes their ecosystem more resilient and attractive in the competitive web3 space.”

Given the strategic alignment of the two companies’ visions, Mon Protocol and PixelVerse believe their collaboration is seamless. “This partnership of Pixelverse’s and MonProtocol’s virtual world will naturally be in harmony, which will act as an illustration of the blockchain games’ business model,” the press statement read.

Giulio Xiloyannis, CEO of Pixelmon and co-founder of Mon Protocol said in a statement: “As a browser-based quest battler, Pixelverse brings a new feeling into the market as the count of similar games is low. The fact that it is being used successfully in emerging countries is a good analogue, as it affirms the truth that mobile games like Axie’s Infinity are winning quite many hearts and the Pixels.xyz gaming shows no sign of decreasing.”
