IDG Capital Leads Ultiverse’s Private Token Sale at $150M Valuation

The AI-powered gaming platform raised $4 million, which it plans to use to enable Web3 game production and publishing.

Ultiverse, the gaming platform that uses artificial intelligence to power different gaming experiences has completed a $4 million private token sale led by IDG Capital. The fundraising also attracted participation from leading Web3 investment companies including Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, MorningStar Ventures, ZetaChain, Manta Network and DWF Ventures. Jacob Ko, a partner at Superscrypt and Taiko also joined the round.

The latest round brings the total raised to $13.5 million and values the company at $150 million, according to the announcement on Wednesday.

Commenting on the announcement, Frank Ma, Ultiverse CEO, in a statement said the funding will help his company to accelerate its vision of building the most intuitive AI-powered platform for Web3 game creation.

“Going forward, Ultiverse remains committed to delivering an ecosystem with accessible tools and captivating experiences to nurture the next generation of AI-driven Web3 games. Next week, Ultiverse will release Ulti-Pilot, an immersive portal to the universe’s diverse gaming experiences, powered by AI,” he said.

Ultiverse is preparing to unveil the Ulti-Pilot portal, which uses AI to diverse gaming experiences within the universe. The company is using AI and blockchain technology to achieve gaming interoperability and has plans to launch a Gaming Launchpad, Restake Rollup, and additional decentralized applications (dApps) in the future.

Ultiverse is also pursuing partnerships with other game companies as it looks to help them bring traffic through its platform. There are also plans to launch its own games when the time is right.

Commenting on its leading role in the private token round, IDG Capital said in a statement: “Ultiverse’s mission to catalyze mass adoption of Web3 gaming, augmented by AI, aligns seamlessly with our commitment to pioneering innovation. They are not just creating a platform; they are defining a new paradigm in gaming.”
