Web3 decentralized content ecosystem, MContent, today announced the appointment of Hani El Khatib as their new CEO of blockchain and Web3. Hani was most recently the regional director of the Middle East, Turkey and Africa at blockchain analytics provider, Chainalysis.
At Chainalysis, Hani helped build the firm’s presence in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region. Prior to that, he spent almost three years as a regional sales manager at computer and network security firm, Forescout Technologies. He has also held various regional roles in multinational companies including McAfee.
Prior to his pivot to IT and blockchain, Hani began his career in TradFi, starting out as a credit analyst at Citibank in 2004, before becoming an independent fund manager in 2005, investing funds in the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia stock markets for various clients.
Hani brings a vast experience in terms of leadership, entrepreneurship, and business growth, having specialized in revenue growth and scaling up businesses, while also bringing in his entrepreneurial experience, having established his own start-up early in his career.
As part of his new role, Hani will oversee the overall MContent blockchain decentralized platform, as well as all web3, NFTs and crypto divisions.

Hani is MContent’s second C-suite hire this month as it expands its leadership team. On Oct 6, the company announced the appointment of Brandon Fong as its new chief of global streaming business.
In the past year, MContent has seeded, funded, and curated more than 40 film and TV productions through its self-sustaining ecosystem. The platform now has almost 1.2 million registered users from across the world with more than 100,000 user-generated videos populated as well as a collection of MOriginals and premium exclusive content available for streaming on the app and web platform.
