Eminem and Snoop Dogg have collaborated to launch a new music track titled “From The D 2 The LBC”. The duo officially released the video at ApeFest NYC, featuring their Bored Ape NFT characters.
Commenting on the collab, “Eminem” Marshall Mathers (on Twitter) posted: “Took too long to reconnect with @snoopdogg — you know we had to make a movie.”
The music track is available for streaming on several platforms, including YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, while users can also download it on iTunes.
The video version of the music track features Snoop and Eminem occasionally switching from the real-life characters to their Bored Ape NFT characters.
The video is a perfect blend of old school music with the modern age, according to one commenter who wrote, “Two legends that combine the old school with the modern age flawlessly.”
Some fans weren’t sure if Snoop Dogg could keep up with Eminem’s usually fast flow. However, after watching the video, they admitted they were quite impressed with his performance.
“Good for Snoop for keeping up with Ems flow, I never heard him do that before. Dope song from 2 GOATS. I’m happy they did this. Great video and a fun song to listen to,” a commenter by the name of Shaolin Mike wrote.
The video begins with Snoop Dogg doing ‘Snoop things’ by smoking an unusually large cigar— and as the smoke spreads into the recording room where Eminem stands with a microphone ready to start rapping, “The Real Slim Shady” singer begins to campaign about the smoke.
The music poster features the two celebrated artists wearing their Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT characters, and again, with Snoop’s Bored Ape #6743 smoking a cigar.
To celebrate Snoop’s and Eminem’s new track, the BAYC has launched a limited edition Merch Drop for the community. The offer will last for 48 hours only starting June 24 at 12:00 PM EST. Announcing the Drop via Twitter, BAYC said collectors will only be allowed to buy using ApeCoin.
“No early drop or giveaway, so be wary of scam links and never connect your wallet to a site you don’t know and trust,” BAYC added, warning its community of potential scammers looking to take advantage of the drop.
