Web3 football game, MonkeyLeague, today announced that it has signed AS Roma Star Paulo Dybala as its new brand ambassador.
As MonkeyLeague’s new brand ambassador, Dybala will be the face of the Solana-based title’s forthcoming comarketing and promotional events. The star striker will also playtest the game itself ahead of its release and his likeness will be featured among the title’s official licensed NFTs.
This news comes after MonkeyLeague partnered with reigning Italian Serie A champions AC Milan. Like Dybala, AC Milan will playtest the game, be design partners for game assets, sponsor esports tournaments, and participate in co-marketing events.
Dybala was previously named Serie A’s most valuable player and has won the top Italian league five times and the Coppa Italia four times. The 28-year-old Argentine forward has scored 160 goals so far in his career.

MonkeyLeague and Dybala will team up on upcoming NFT drops or game assets like limited edition MonkeyAthletes and Stadiums. In addition, Paulo will headline one of MonkeyLeague’s upcoming breeding seasons, a feature that allows Monkey NFT holders to breed them to create new digital collectibles for the game franchise.

On Oct 6, MonkeyLeague kicked off its historic partnership by auctioning 16 limited edition MonkeyPlayer NFTs that pay homage to AC Milan’s celebrated ’93/’94 and ’95/’96 teams. The lot sold on the Solana NFT marketplace Magic Eden with the highest one purchased for 179 SOL — or around $6,086 as per SOL price on the day itself.
Scheduled releases of MonkeyLeague’s initial game versions are slated for release in Q4 2022.
