Metaverse Group is a virtual real estate company that owns an eight-figure real estate portfolio across many leading virtual worlds, and is headquartered in Crypto Valley in Decentraland. The company recently signed its first land lease agreements with four tenants.

“Metaverse Group are early pioneers of virtual real estate, including owning a massive 166 parcel estate in Decentraland’s Fashion District. The company comprises a rock-solid dream team with extensive experience across finance, digital assets, non-fungible tokens, blockchain technology and yachting, which is the perfect complement to our skillset,” said Meta Yachts co-founder Thomas O’Nial.

The virtual marina offers a dedicated sales office for Meta Yacht buyers, weekly events with live music for members, high-end shops, restaurants, and bars

The marina’s launch will coincide with Metaverse Fashion Week, which takes place from Mar 24-27. The Meta Marina will be hosting many big names including the likes of Gucci, Balenciaga, and more showcasing what luxury in the metaverse looks like.

At the same time, visitors to the Meta Marina can expect pop-ups, catwalk shows, after-parties and immersive experiences during Metaverse Fashion Week.

Eight superyachts will each have a private berth in the Meta Marina, featuring a breakwater, an animated ocean, and ambient sounds of seagulls, boat horns, and more. The superyachts will be available for staged purchases after Metaverse Fashion Week.

One of the superyachts named La Piuma is a fashion yacht, which houses virtual meeting rooms, catwalks and a space to display and sell digital wearables. There is also a party yacht, a casino yacht as well as a floating gallery.

The interior functionalities of each yacht can be customised to the owners’ preference once onboard. The Meta Yachts team is already designing yacht concepts for a number of luxury brands.

Andrew Kiguel, CEO of Tokens.com and Executive Chairman of Metaverse Group said that the partnership with Meta Yachts will expand its revenue streams and bring in more visitor traffic to its land parcels. “This opens up new innovative advertising opportunities in the Metaverse,” he added.

With experiential events happening in the virtual world, the metaverse could soon become a travel destination as more travel brands enter the Web3 space.
