Art, music, and creator-led Web 3 community, Afterparty, has announced electronic music duo The Chainsmokers and Australian singer The Kid LAROI as the first headliners of its inaugural NFT-gated art and music festival.
Held over two days from March 18 – 19 at Area 15, an immersive event and entertainment district on the Las Vegas Strip, Afterparty Art & Music NFT Festival will feature an additional 25 supporting acts and more than a dozen NFT artists on the full lineup, which will be announced in February.
The festival will be a multi-sensory and multi-venue experience featuring digital art galleries that will bring NFT art to life via human-sized 4K and 8K screen displays. The NFT art programme will be co-creative directed by NFT artists, Nate Mohler and Alec Maassen.
To attend the festival, interested punters will either have to purchase an NFT from Afterparty’s Utopian NFT collection or be invited by a buyer, who will get a plus one and two NFT passes to invite friends or sell to anyone.
Afterparty’s Utopian NFT collection features 1500 generative NFTs live minted on the Ethereum blockchain. Sia, Just Maiko and jxdn are some of the first media personalities invited to live-mint the NFTs at a secret location in the Hollywood Hills. The NFTs can also be purchased on the secondary market or through purchasing an Afterparty “Mintpass”, both via OpenSea.

The NFTs will unlock rewards in real life and the metaverse, such as access to the Afterparty Super Bowl Weekend Event, NFT art gallery showings at the Afterparty House, the Afterparty Pop-Up House at Art Basel 2022 and more throughout the year.
Music festival and event venue veterans are lending their expertise to make the festival a reality. The festival is produced in partnership with Ryan Doherty, the former partner of Life is Beautiful festival, and Chris Racan, a former executive at San Diego event venue KAABOO.
