Smartlink announced Monday it is launching the first Tezos-based NFT launchpad that will host exclusively curated NFT launches. The blockchain ecosystem also said it will be issuing its first NFT drop $SMIRKS.

The Smartlink ecosystem offers artists an opportunity to connect with an already established community, gain access to advanced creation tools whilst also gaining an opportunity to establish potential partnerships.

The platform uses the proof-of-stake Tezos blockchain, enabling it to facilitate greener and scalable fast transactions. The platform is created to support smart contracts, blockchain gaming and NFT projects, giving users access to the fastest-growing industries of 2021.

Smartlink claims its platform will only feature the rarest and best NFTs offering exciting features blind minting, auctions, and much more.

Artists and sellers will be able to NFTs through blind auctions (where bidders are not aware of other bids) and open auctions (where all bids are public) as per their preferences.

The platform utilizes the popular auction bidding model, where the NFT is awarded to the highest bidder after the expiry of the bidding window.

Artists will have a page detailing all the metadata about incoming bids for their projects. Although several NFT marketplaces have embraced both minting methods, collectors seem to favour blind minting because it gives them an equal opportunity to acquire the rarest NFTs.

This method of minting can reward buyers with extremely expensive NFTs at very affordable prices. A recent example is the Azuki collection, which initially covered all characters with red beans during the triple-phased minting cycle.

When all was revealed a few days later, one collector acquired a character with 666 ETH for less than 3 ETH.

Smartlink has embraced blind minting to encourage more collectors to participate in the NFT drops.

The ecosystem also announced its first NFT drop, dubbed $SMIRKS to its community, also serving as the utility token of the launchpad.

Smartlink said it has already seal3d important partnerships with NFT and metaverse projects, which will be revealed in due course.

“Smartlink has already partnered with some upcoming NFT and Metaverse projects to release their NFTs on its Launchpad. We’ll be revealing these projects as we move closer to the launch,” the launchpad wrote in a press release sent to media houses.
