Nifty Gateway has announced its partnership with Samsung to develop the first-ever smart TV NFT platform for browsing, buying and trading digital collectibles.

Samsung’s NFT platform in the 2022 premium QLED and Neo QLED TV has now been integrated with Nifty Gateway, an NFT marketplace owned by crypto exchange, Gemini. Additionally, Nifty Gateway’s independent app is now available on Samsung’s The Frame and MICRO LED TVs.

Utilising Samsung’s and Nifty Gateway’s technology, customers can browse and display NFTs as they explore the smart TV NFT platform. Customers can also access more than 6,000 pieces of art from emerging and top artists including Beeple, Daniel Arsham, Pak, and more.

With this partnership, Nifty Gateway hopes to leverage Samsung’s audience and onboard more users to its platform.

“Nifty Gateway’s mission is to bring NFTs to a billion people by empowering creators and simplifying the way customers buy, sell, create, and hold NFTs. We are committed to making NFTs accessible and NFT purchasing more seamless than ever before,” said Duncan Cock Foster, co-founder, Nifty Gateway.  “With our mission in mind, we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Samsung to develop a groundbreaking NFT collecting experience.”

Samsung and Nifty Gateway will provide customers with the ability to access verified digital art minted via Nifty Gateway, store their NFTs in Nifty Gateway’s Omnibus wallet, and pay for NFTs using credit card, debit card and cryptocurrency.

This partnership comes after Samsung’s announcement in January that it’ll be adding an NFT aggregation platform to its 2022 smart TV lineup.

To further its move into NFTs, Samsung recently joined forces with Theta Labs to offer free NFTs to customers who pre-ordered the company’s latest flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8.

As part of Nifty Gateway’s mission to onboard a billion users into the NFT space, the NFT marketplace revealed plans to launch a new NFT advisory program for institutional clients last month.
