Revoland has announced the successful completion of a $10.6 million fundraising in seed and pre-sale rounds. The multiplayer online battling arena game is developed by London-based metaverse game development company Chain X Game, led by Jimmy Zhao.
The company is focused on developing the next generation of blockchain games, which Zhao believes will play a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of Web3.
Commenting on Revoland’s seed and pre-sale fundraising, Zhao said: “With Revoland, we’ve created a space where players will have full control over their in-game assets, take an active part in the construction of the game ecosystem, promote its development and act as its governors through leveraging REVO, our governance token.”
The game is centred on promoting community gaming where players can invite their family and friends to gaming competitions to compete with other teams for gaming rewards issued in $LAND. LAND is one of Revoland’s native ecosystem tokens.
Players are required to demonstrate skill and teamwork to win competitions, with the game also lacking a pause option, which Revoland says “raises the degree of interactivity.”
“This way, the project creates a truly social gaming experience with a high level of inclusivity, as the game also features a free-to-play version,” Revoland wrote in a statement on Wednesday.
The game also offers players an opportunity to explore the game deeper by spending their $LAND tokens on Mystery Boxes, which can be unlocked to gain access to more characters and upgrade features.
The company said that its native $REVO token will soon be offered to the community via an initial dex offering (IDO) on GameStarter, EverStart, Bitget and Phemex platforms. It is also scheduled to be officially listed on major exchanges, including Huobi Global, MEXC, Pancake Swap and x.plus.
