Project Twelve (P12) has raised $8 million in a funding round backed by MetaApp, Project Galaxy, Primavera Ventures, CyberConnect, CCV, InfinityLeague, Smrti Lab, and others. The company said it will use the funds to accelerate the development of its Web3 gaming platform.

The gaming experience service provider also announced the launch of the Genesis Soul-Bound NFT Airdrop. P12 wants to expand its gaming ecosystem with a sustainable game economy, making game creation easily accessible to the market.

The company seeks to remove obstacles that have limited the adoption of virtual assets in immersive gaming worlds by creating a gaming ecosystem that is not driven by profits by introducing a governance structure that enhances economic sustainability within games.

P12 is comprised of a team drawn from both the Web3 and video gaming space, thus adding balance to the creative force behind the project.

Commenting on the initial evolution of Project Twelve, Founder Boyang explained, “P12 was conceptualized by a group of hardcore gamers who have a deep passion for and great faith in gaming. While serving the gaming industry, we also identified key challenges facing the future of gaming – that is insufficient supply and broken economies. Now, we see a solution to the challenges in combining the best of Web3 and gaming, that solution is P12.”

Project Twelve has launched the Genesis Soul-Bound NFT drop as part of its user onboarding exercise to invite those interested in the p12 vision to join the community.

The Genesis airdrop launched on June 27, and the company claims it has received a positive response from the gaming community.

According to the press statement published June 28, “the P12 Genesis Soul-Bound NFT pays homage to Steam developers and gamers by capturing off-chain credentials, including games published and hours played.”

This entitles NFT holders to more benefits, including the right to vote, based on their proof-of-play data. P12 is looking to revolutionise the Web3 gaming space by creating a movement of virtual asset gamers.
