- GameSwift offers users an opportunity to play blockchain games, and participate in IGOs and INOs.
Polygon has launched the web3 gaming ecosystem GameSwift. Previously known as StarTerra on the Terra blockchain, the platform has now migrated to Polygon Supernets after rebranding to GameSwift.
It will allow users to play blockchain games and participate in initial game offerings (IGOs) and initial NFT offerings (INOs), in an all-in-one gaming ecosystem.
The platform also allows developers to roll up their projects its space for scalability provided by Polygon Supernets.
GameSwitch has attached some of the leading web3 investors including Hashed, KuCoin Labs, SkyVision Capital, Genesis Block Ventures, Maven Capital, DWeb3 Capital, RR2 Capital, and Qi Capital. The platform has already experienced success with its portfolio of Web3 games including StarHeroes, which received a grant from Microsoft.
“To make the platform as user-friendly as possible, all titles in the GameSwift ecosystem will be accessible via a dedicated launcher that will store and constantly update them to the latest version,” Polygon wrote in a blog posted on its website.
The platform will use GameSwift ID, a non-custodial unified, decentralized identifier enabling Web3 developers to smoothly onboard a wide range of gamers to the ecosystem.
The GameSwift ID leverages NFT technology to allow gamers to “log into any game available on the network and keep track of all their NFTs or currencies in-game, regardless of the game title or the chain the assets are based on.”
NFT domains profile management platforms are becoming a necessity for web3 game platforms because they offer an increased level of security whilst also making it easier to manage all blockchain-related activities on one platform.
According to the announcement, the GameSwift ID will allow users to log in using a Google, Apple ID, or Facebook account. The integration will make the entire gaming experience fun for new blockchain gamers, also playing a crucial role in onboarding millions to the platform.
GameSwift is also planning to roll out a dedicated browser extension for extended cross-platform applications.
Polygon recently announced the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) an infinitely scalable mechanism that will allow developers to launch projects with massive communities.
