Leading English record producer Paul Epworth has become the latest public figure in the music industry to jump on the NFT train. The Oscar and multiple Grammy winner is joining music NFT marketplace Token Traxx.
As part of his role, Epworth will offer his advice and leadership on artist strategy and onboarding. Token Traxx is a London-based startup is a non-fungible token marketplace built by musicians for the music community.
The platform launched earlier in 2022, offering users a unique opportunity to create, curate and collect music. Epworth thinks that Token Traxx could be the gateway to reinventing the entire music industry.
Commenting on his new role, he said “I have been friends with the co-founder TommyD for more than 20 years and when he came to me with this opportunity I felt it was too good to miss.”
“It’s the next phase of the music industry’s evolution and through Token Traxx I am looking forward to being part of it,” he added.
Token Traxx is built on the revolutionary Web3 technology to empower musical artists on a global scale, giving them tools that allow them to achieve commercial success without losing their creative oversight.
Epworth will also be joined by British record producer and mixer, Danton Supple at Token Traxx. Supple’s popularity shone in 2005 when he worked with Coldplay to produce the hit album X&Y, which achieved global success.
Commenting on Supple’s addition to the team, Token Traxx co-founder, TommyD said “Danton’s extensive experience of producing and mixing all musical styles will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to help and support artists on their Web3 musical journey.”
Token Traxx is one of the emerging NFT marketplaces that are targeting niche markets to create exclusive communities amid OpenSea’s global dominance.
The giant NFT marketplace was recently valued at about $13.3 billion after raising a whopping $300 million in funding round. Even LooksRare’s incentivised platform has failed to lure the NFT community away from OpenSea.
Toke Traxx is also debuting the Traxx Token sale on March 21 with the Beta launch scheduled a week later. The token will be used for rewards and community governance voting within the Token Traxx ecosystem.
