Nextech AR Appoints Melea Guilbault As New CEO of its Event Tech Platform “Map D”

Nextech AR, a metaverse company and provider of augmented reality (“AR”) experience technologies and 3D model services, today announced the appointment of Melea Guilbault as CEO of Map D, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nextech AR Solutions.

An experienced C-level executive, Guilbault brings over thirty years of experience in high-growth companies, including technology, pharmaceuticals, and community-based organizations, and extensive commercial, operational and executive management experience.

She most recently founded marketing services company, The mpower Agency. Prior to that, she was the EVP & CCO of Chalice Network, a community of more than 60,000 financial service professionals. 

From 2014 – 2019, Guilbault served on the executive team as SVP of cloud-based software provider Community Brands and Yourmembership. She led commercial growth functions of sales, channels, strategic partnerships, and marketing through the company expansion from a single vertical provider of membership software, into a multi-vertical integrated software and e-commerce provider to associations and nonprofits, K-12 schools and faith-based organisations.

Prior to her role at Community Brands, Guilbault spent over 20 years in various operational and executive positions at Absolute Mobile Solutions, Tampa Bay Tech, Medtronic, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Takeda, and Meda Pharmaceuticals.

Map D is a self-serve Web3 event tech platform and management software solution that provides clients with extensive features and tools for managing events ranging from selling floor plan space or services at trade shows, expos, or festivals to managing speaker and schedule details during conferences or meetings.

The event updates are done in real-time to make it easier to communicate with eventgoers. In the future, Map D plans to launch a companion native mobile app which will double as an AR wayfinding app for in-person events or serve as a self-contained virtual venue for attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, or anyone else participating in an event.
