Cryptocurrency exchange, KuCoin, has launched KuCoin Wallet, its new decentralised crypto product. Starting today, the wallet’s website is now live.

The official app of KuCoin Wallet is expected to launch later this month while open beta app testing of the wallet is expected to become available in the coming days. The launch of KuCoin Wallet is yet another step in KuCoin’s Web3 expansion.

At launch, KuCoin Wallet will also integrate Windvane, the cryptocurrency exchange’s NFT marketplace, to enable users to buy, store, and view their NFT. In the future, KuCoin wallet will add other DeFi, NFT, and GameFi functions.

KuCoin Wallet is designed to be a secure and user-friendly crypto wallet that supports multi-chain aggregation powered by the KuCoin ecosystem. Users can create a decentralised wallet account and send and receive crypto tokens including and send, receive, and store BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, and BNB, among others.

As a self-custodial wallet with security techniques audited by Hacken, users of KuCoin Wallet have full control of their assets as they manage their own private keys.

“As the gateway to the Web 3.0 network, crypto wallets are an important requirement for users to participate in the decentralized ecosystem and have developed far more than being a mere tool to store digital assets,” said Johnny Lyu, CEO of KuCoin. “The launch of the official website of KuCoin Wallet is additional proof that shows the determination of KuCoin to enter the Web 3.0 field at a critical time, with our goals going beyond centralized trading services and entry into the decentralized world to extend its business further.”

In April, KuCoin announced that it will launch its decentralized NFT marketplace, Windvane, and has established a $100 million Creators Fund to empower the development of Web3.

Using its $100 million investor fund, KuCoin recently invested in Joyride, a blockchain gaming infrastructure provider. Joyride is one of the first companies to be enlisted in the $100 million Creators Fund Program.

KuCoin also recently secured $150 million in a pre-Series B funding round, bringing total investments to $170 million with Round A combined, at a total valuation of $10 billion.
