Ethereum-based blockchain network, SKALE, today announced an exclusive partnership with Mark Cuban’s participatory entertainment platform, Fireside, to launch a $100 million ecosystem grant program.

Named ‘Creatives Unleashed’, the grant program was created to help kickstart a new generation of creators to transition to Web3. Creators who qualify for the program can use Fireside’s Web3 content studio to launch NFT-powered network memberships.

The grant program aims to usher in the next generation of Hollywood hits created without middlemen. For creators, Fireside is powering the ability to launch a network and enable their network members to participate in the creative process for all their projects through NFT-powered memberships.

“We’re creating and helping kickstart an entirely new category for professional creators that focuses on not only owning their work, but on enabling them to engage, interact and monetize en masse without any middlemen. This partnership helps accelerate the ability for the entertainment and media industry to make the transition to Web3,” said Falon Fatemi, Fireside Co-founder and CEO.

Fireside’s partnership with SKALE will provide users with free NFT minting and rapid transaction processing, making it easy for creators to reach more fans in a cost-effective manner. The partnership will also give the projects of creators a much-needed kickstart through ecosystem grants.

Additionally, creators will use Fireside’s platform to launch their networks and deepen engagement with their network members, digitally deliver community benefits, and distribute NFTs en masse with a consumerised experience that bridges Web2 and Web3. This means that members do not need to have any knowledge of crypto wallets, NFTs, or other Web3 technologies.

“Rethinking and revolutionizing the way content is produced is completely aligned with the ethos of Web3 and Fireside is spearheading that movement. This is a transformational moment in the history of media and entertainment where creators align with fans to remove the middleman controlled funding dynamics of Hollywood on its head. That’s why we’re excited to see SKALE used as the infrastructure to power that movement and bring fans closer to their favorite shows, writers and personalities,” said Jack O’Holleran, CEO & co-founder of SKALE.

Fireside enables established and emerging professional creators including authors, podcasters, musicians, media personalities, and business leaders to own their relationships with their audience, have complete creative control over their shows, and distribute and monetise their content through Web3.

More than 2,000 professional creators including  Melissa Rivers, Craig Kilborn, Jay Leno, are already using Fireside’s platform to create new show formats.

Other Web3 entertainment projects that enable creators to co-produce content with their communities include Mad Realities, NFT artist Pplpleasr’s ‘Shibuya,’ and Mila Kunis’ Stoner Cats and The Gimmicks.
