PIXELYNX, the music metaverse gaming platform founded by world-renowned electronic musicians Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin aka Plastikman, today announced their appointment of David Clark-Joseph as Vice President of Investments.

In his new role, Clark-Joseph will be building and executing the PIXELYNX investment strategy.

Clark-Joseph joins PIXELYNX from Liberty Gaming where he led partnerships and crypto gaming investments from April to July. Before that, he handled the full lifecycle of corporate development with a focus on NFTs and Web3 at Kraken for one year, his first role at a Web3 company.

Prior to his career in Web3, Clark-Joseph was CFO/VP of corporate development at Distributive, a company specialising in computer networking products. He also held a merger & acquisitions role at telecommunications company, Mitel, as well as strategy and investment leadership positions at Bild Alternative Investments, and American Fiber Packaging.

His career in finance and strategy started at IT services and consulting company, NCR Corporation.

“David brings with him a wealth of experience across Web3 that will be invaluable to the continued success of PIXELYNX,” said Inder Phull, CEO and Co-Founder of PIXELYNX. “The potential for music to evolve in the metaverse can’t be understated and David will play a key role in building and nurturing this emerging ecosystem.”

PIXELYNX has been expanding its team in recent months. The platform announced five new hires and a new strategy group advisor in July—all of which made the jump from Web2 to Web3. While Clark-Joseph already has Web3 experience, it is still pretty recent as he joined Kraken last year.

“I’m thrilled to join PIXELYNX,” said Clark-Joseph. “Web3 will be the way fans can access the experience economy, and PIXELYNX is extremely well positioned to bring performers and fans through that gateway.”

PIXELYNX, based in London and Los Angeles, is focused on building a music metaverse through digital collectibles and gaming. It aims to transform the way artists connect and engage with their fans through gaming experiences

Previously slated for public release this month, the company’s debut mobile game, ELYNXIR, will be out later this year. Interested players can follow the Pixelynx Discord to sign up for the beta.
