Women-led NFTs are gaining traction after Logan Paul sold one of his World of Women NFTs, Woman #6025, for 200 ETH ($763,600) five days ago. Over the last seven days, a total of 999 World of Women NFTs have been sold on the secondary market, with a trading volume of $15.03 million and a current floor price of 3.87ETH.

Since its launch on 27 July 2021, World of Women sold out in just 10 hours. Building a community that celebrates “representation, inclusivity, and equal opportunities for all”, its most prominent collectors include entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, well-known NFT collectors Artchick and Pranksy, as well as actress Reese Witherspoon.
Most recent celebrity WOW collectors include famed TV producer Shonda Rhimes who uploaded a new Twitter profile picture on Saturday with a WOW art piece, while actors Joivan Wade and singer Liam Payne have both also tweeted their purchases in support of the NFT project.
World of Women has also launched an alternate reality game to tease its forthcoming Galaxy of Women collection, rumoured to be dropping on Coinbase NFT at an as-yet-unannounced date.
On the back of WOW’s recent success, other women-led NFT avatar projects such as Boss Beauties, WomenRise and WomenandWeapons are also seeing a rise in interest and celebrity support.
In honour of Women In Crypto Day on January 6, Reese Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine minted its very own WomenRise NFT. WomenRise supports women’s rights and girls’ education, and has recently donated 4.375 ETH ($16,000) to the Malala Fund.
Boss Beauties – which teamed up with Marvel on a Twitter Spaces conversation on women empowerment in November – almost doubled its floor price in 24 hours, going from 0.27 ETH to 0.53 ETH from January 7 to 8.
Women and Weapons NFTs were sold 1727 times in the last 7 days. The NFT project donates 5% of its profits to the Malala Fund, and counts Gary Vaynerchuk and Steve Aoki as part of its community of collectors.
