Quick take:

  • The majority of OpenSea’s top 200 NFT collections using the ERC-721 standard will be available on Binance NFT marketplace.
  • Binance NFT plans to integrate more marketplaces and chains.
  • Binance aims to become the go-to platform for NFTs.

Binance NFT today introduced the first phase of upgrades to its marketplace with the integration of OpenSea NFTs, enabling users to explore non-fungible tokens from multiple marketplaces and blockchains.

In addition to existing NFTs listed on Binance marketplace, the newly revamped platform will include the majority of OpenSea’s top 200 NFT collections using the ERC-721 standard. Binance NFT says that the integration is “an exciting milestone” as it aims to become the go-to platform for NFTs.

In the future, Binance NFT plans to integrate more marketplaces and chains and expand its digital asset offerings. Besides access to NFTs that are listed on Binance NFT (Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain) and OpenSea (Ethereum) from Binance NFT Marketplace, the first phase of the platform’s upgrade includes upgraded metrics and data visualizations on the NFT Collection and individual NFT pages for enhanced price analysis.

Other features include integration of OpenSea marketplace data to leaderboards on the Stats page; UI and UX optimizations for various features at Binance NFT Marketplace, including the Homepage, Marketplace Main Menu, Search Filters, and NFT Assets pages; and optimized NFT deposit process and a simplified check-out procedure.

Today, Binance Fan Token also announced ‘Football Fever 2022’, a new online challenge launched in commemoration of the World Cup. Fans can stand a chance to win $1 million worth of rewards and NFT prizes. To enter the daily challenge of predicting the outcome of upcoming matches, fans would have to register and claim a free NFT passport.

“Fans around the world will be tuning in to watch this historic tournament and we’re thrilled to be able to make those celebrations even more memorable,” said Lisa He, Head of NFT and Fan Tokens at Binance. “Not only is this a great way to feel a part of the action and have some fun, but players also have the chance to win incredible prizes, totally unique experiences and collectible NFTs.”

On Tuesday, football star Cristiano Ronaldo launched his first NFT collection with Binance following the announcement of their multi-year partnership deal in June. The collection will debut on the Binance NFT marketplace on Friday, Nov 18.
